Most Popular Vitamix Models
I found out in my research the following Vitamix models are the most popular out of what people have ordered.
A. Popular Reconditioned Vitamix Blenders
People think that buying a reconditioned item is the same as buying a low quality item.
I was worried too when I bought mine because it is a very expensive blender. This is my one and only very expensive kitchen gadget at home.
However, the Vitamix company makes the ‘used’ machines go through a rigorous and intensive reconditioning process, so you can be sure that your investment still has the same high performance and durability.
With Vitamix reconditioned certified blenders, you can own a high quality machine with an unbeatable price.
You can learn the Vitamix recondition process here.
The reconditioned Vitamix blenders are very popular because of the lower selling price compared to the brand new ones.
Here are the popular reconditioned Vitamix blenders:
1. Reconditioned G-Series No-Presets – Known as Next Generation and 40% quieter
- 7500, etc… (If you chose to buy any of the reconditioned G-Series without presets — your order may come to you in any of the following model names: 7500, Professional Series 300, or Creation’s Elite. These models don’t have pre-programmed settings. Cookbook and DVD may vary. But if you buy a brand new blender you will get the model you have picked.)
2. Reconditioned C-Series Standard No-Presets (Non-Programs)
For those who want to save more — they have ordered the reconditioned / refurbished of this model:
- 5200, etc… (If you chose to buy any of the reconditioned C-Series without presets — your order may come to you in any of the following model names: 5200, CIA Professional Series, Creations II, Creations GC, Professional Series 200, Total Nutrition Center, or TurboBlend VS. Cookbook and DVD may vary. But if you purchase a brand new one, you will get the specified model.)
B. Popular Brand New Vitamix Blenders
The following brand new models that are also popular:
1. C-Series Standard No-Presets (No Pre-programmed Settings)
- Vitamix Model 5200
2. C-Series Standard with Presets
The following model has pre-programmed settings: Smoothies, Frozen Desserts, Hot Soups. This model is great for multitaskers and those who want to walk away from the noise.
Why Did I Buy the Vitamix Blender?
I’m so blessed to own a Vitamix blender—in fact, it’s a refurbished 5200 model. I’m primarily using it for health purposes to make green smoothies and nutritious soups.
I used to not know about Vitamix machines, but my brother-in-law told me that the Vitamix blenders are so powerful that its machine breaks down the food nutrients into a cellular level. The blender pulverizes the food, and the result is like “pre-digested,” which is very helpful to me because I have digestive problems.
In this video, Yuri mentions a study conducted by the University of Toronto in which Vitamix blenders were able to break down the cell walls of plants to release nutrients. This is very important for our bodies to access the nutrients from plants. Watch the video…
Since the blender has been very helpful for my health, I have researched more on Vitamix blenders. I want to be able to share the information to others who are wanting to find the best blender that they can use.
But I was surprised to know in my research that Vitamix has so many models now. It overwhelmed me. I hope this web page will help you in your search dilemma.

Quick Tips: “Which Vitamix Model Should I Buy?”
You are probably here to get help in selecting the best Vitamix model for you because you are overwhelmed by the many models of blenders that Vitamix has to offer.
You ask, “Which Vitamix model should I buy?”
You probably know by now that Vitamix blenders are best for whole food juicing, smoothies, hot soups and are also excellent for grinding coffee and grains to make fresh flours at home and more.
Always remember when you buy a Vitamix blender—it comes with a wet-blade container, which is perfect for wet ingredients (smoothies, juicing, soups). Except when you buy a specially packaged Vitamix product which includes a special dry-blade container for dry ingredients. Dry-blade containers may be bought separately.
At present, these are the full-size Vitamix models that are specially packaged which include more than 1 type of containers:
1. Creations Turbo – 2 containers included in the package:
- Tall, narrow-bottomed, 64 oz. with wet-blade
- 32 oz. with dry-blade
2. CIA Creations – 2 containers included in the package:
- Low-profile, wide-bottomed, 48 oz. with wet-blade
- 32 oz. with dry-blade
3. 5200 Super – Healthy Lifestyle – 2 containers included in the package:
- Tall, narrow-bottomed, 64 oz. with wet-blade
- 32 oz. with dry-blade
4. 5200 Deluxe – Complete Kitchen – 3 containers included in the package:
- Tall, narrow-bottomed, 64 oz. with wet-blade
- 32 oz. with wet-blade
- 32 oz. with dry-blade
Here are my quick tips for buying the best Vitamix model for your needs:
A. Take note of the CONTAINER that comes with the machine:
1. Tall, narrow-bottomed containers, with 3″ wet-blade
- does not fit under your cabinets with the blender on top of the motor base
- you have ease in blending smaller batches (at least 1 cup) because the bottom is narrow – perfect for blending food for the baby, marinades….
2. Low-profile, wide-bottomed containers, with 4″ wet-blade:
- will fit under the cabinets with 17.5 inches clearance
- you have ease in blending larger batches because the bottom is wide and it has a lot of room for the food to circulate.
- you will not be able to blend a smaller batch because your ingredients/food is below the blade. You need at least 2 cups of your ingredients for blending.
My ADVICE: If you prefer the Vitamix model with low-profile, wide-bottomed container (64 oz. capacity), it’s a great idea to buy a 32 oz. with wet-blade container.
This will enable you to blend smaller batches with ease. So, you will have 2 kinds of Vitamix wet-blade containers with one machine:
- 32 oz. container – for smaller batches (at least 1 cup)
- 64 oz. container – for medium to larger batches ( at least 2 cups)
B. Advanced Variable Speed Control (10-Speed) – You’re in control of getting the desired consistency.
C. Pre-programmed Settings – Some models have 3 presetting timers: smoothie, ice cream and soup. Some models have 2 additional features: puree and washing. You just push the button for the machine to work.
Personally, I don’t prefer presets. If my fruits or vegetables are over-ripe, the machine will over blend my smoothie.
F. Pulse – This enables the machine to toss the ingredients and have a coarse texture.
E. Reconditioned or Refurbished Blenders – Choosing the used blenders is a great deal—a big saving!
With the money you save from buying the reconditioned blender, you can buy the additional 32 oz. narrow-bottomed wet-blade container, if you opt for the 64 oz. low-profile, wide-bottomed wet-blade container. So that you can blend a recipe with lesser ingredients.
You also get a 5-year warranty when purchasing a reconditioned Vitamix blender.
The refurbished ones still perform excellently. My 5200 refurbished Vitamix blender has no problem at all and it still working strong.
More Facts on Vitamix Blender Container and Blades
Vitamix has 2 kinds of containers:
- Wet-blade containers – for wet ingredients
- Dry-blade container – for dry ingredients
Vitamix Wet-Blade Container Sizes:
- 64 oz. (3″ wet-blade) – tall, narrow bottom
- 48 oz. (3″ wet-blade) – low-profile, narrow bottom
- 32 oz. (3″ wet-blade) – low-profile, narrow bottom
- 64 oz. (4″ wet-blade) – low-profile, wide bottom
Dry-Blade Container Size:
- 32 oz. (3″ dry-blade) – low profile, narrow bottom
Containers with 3″-blade may be used in both C-Series and G-Series machines.
Containers with 4″-blade can only be used in G-Series machines. If you use the container with 4″-blade in C-Series machine, the Vitamix warranty will not cover you when your machine gets ruined.
The low-profile containers will fit easily under your cabinets with 17.5″ clearance.
Wet-Blade Containers Usage
When you purchase a Vitamix blender, it always comes with a container with a 3″ wet-blade. This is perfect for when you want to use the machine as a blender, heater, nut butter maker, or mixer.
Wet-blade containers are great for working with wet ingredients, or for when you want to mix batters for your brownies, cakes, or pancakes.
You can even heat mixed ingredients to transform your products into gravy, hot chocolate, dips, or soup.
Do you want to make nut butters without high-fructose corn sugar? You can certainly make them with Vitamix blenders. You can also make the finest cashew, almond, pistachio, or peanut butter using your blender’s wet container.
Occasionally, it’s fine to use your container’s wet-blade for grinding flour or coffee. But if you use it regularly for grinding, it will shorten the lifetime of the container’s blades.
Dry-Blade Containers Uses
However, a dry container serves other purposes including kneading bread dough, crumbling dry cheeses and chocolate, milling seeds and grains to turn these into flours, grinding coffee beans, and rough-chopping nuts and grains.
Although you can still use your wet container for processing dry ingredients, doing so can scratch the container’s surface. This will cause the smell of certain ingredients to stick to the scratched surface, or your container may get discolored.
While processing wet ingredients using a dry container is possible, the results you want may not be achieved.
Low-Profile, Wide Container
The wide container is excellent for chopping vegetables and food processing because it has a lot of room for circulation. This container is ideal for large batches.
Tall, Narrow-Bottomed Container
This type of container will allow you to blend less ingredients with ease because the width of the bottom of the container is narrow.
The Importance of Using the Right Container for Vitamix Blenders
If you want your smoothie to have the right texture, you may be disappointed to find that some chunks of ingredients may accumulate due to poor blending.
This is the main reason why you need to think about the size (batch: small, medium or large) and types (dry or wet ingredients) of food and drinks you want to prepare when buying a blender to make sure you get the right container that matches your needs.
One mother was happy to know about the Vitamix containers because she would be using the blender to make baby food, so this meant that she would be preparing food in a smaller batch.
So here is how the blades work depending on the type of container that you use: dry blades bring ingredients up to the top while wet blades blend your food smoothly.
Wet blades boost the friction and amount of heat produced as ingredients get sucked down. Hence, the result is a thick mixture.
On the other hand, dry blades direct ingredients upwards to keep them cool. This motion prevents ingredients from building up into the container’s corners.
If you want to make flour from nuts with wet-blade container, it will produce nut butters.
But if you use the dry-blade containers with nuts, you will get nut flour.
Brief Reviews: 3 Main Categories of Vitamix Models
Now that you know more about the types of containers in a Vitamix blender, as well as different aspects to think about when buying this essential kitchen appliance, let’s delve in and learn more about the different Vitamix models of blenders to choose from.
After reading these concise reviews, you should be able to find out which Vitamix models to buy and information on Vitamix payment plans that could help you make an informed decision.
1. S-Series: Personal Blenders – Available Vitamix Models S55, S50, S30
Wondering which Vitamix is best for fruit and green smoothies or which Vitamix models have presets? If so, then the following S-Series models should be your viable options in preparing nutritious and refreshing beverages for personal servings.
Vitamix S-Series is also perfect for those who live in small apartments with limited kitchen counter top space.
Personal Blender: Vitamix Model S55
The S55 model is outstanding when it comes to making personal-sized ice creams, soups, dips, and sauces.
This blender comes with a container that is just right for personal use, so you can make your very own glass of smoothie on a 20-ounce travel cup.
However, this blender can handle more than just smoothies. In fact, it can be used in preparing homemade soups, salsas, sauces, and ice creams.
This blender is equipped with a 40-ounce container for your soups and desserts and a 20-ounce container with a flip-top cover for your smoothies and power drinks.
Another feature of this model is the preset programs, which you can use for convenience in blending ingredients minus the guesswork. There is even variable speed control to turn ingredients into a thick or liquidy texture—just the way you want it.
In case you are a little low on cash, you have an option to get the reconditioned model. The quality and performance are still the same as brand new ones, but the price is much cheaper to meet your budget.
Personal Blender: Vitamix Model S50
A bit cheaper than the S55, the S50 model comes with 2 preset programs and a personal size container for portability and convenience.
This blender is powerful enough to help you make your smoothies, soups, ice creams, and sauces, which you can make either in the 20-ounce or 40-ounce container.
Cleanup is a breeze with this blender, with its dishwasher-safe container, seals, lids, and blade base. Just pop these components into the top rack of your dishwasher, and these come out clean in a snap.
The easy cleanup takes the stress out in maintaining the machine after use, which is a real time-saver for people who are always on the go.
Aside from ease of maintenance, safety is very important when buying a blender.
What’s great about the S50 is the safety interlocking system, which is a plus for keeping the machine secure while being used. With this feature, the motor shuts off instantly when the container is rocked or removed from the base of the machine.
Safety, performance, ease of use, and texture quality of ingredients are guaranteed with this product.
Personal Blender: Vitamix Model S30
The most basic of the S-series is the S30.
This is the finest choice for customers who want a lower priced Vitamix personal blender that gets the job done as expected. It has standard functions and components that make up a machine that is efficient, convenient and portable at the same time.
As with the other two models under the S-Series, this product has 2 blending containers and variable speed control for your food and drink preparation needs.
It also comes with a 2-part vented lid, which is capable of releasing steam as hot mixtures are blended in the container.
You can also customize the consistency of the mixture with the pulse feature, so you can make thick and chunky veggie soups or salsas.
Is the Vitamix Personal Blender a Must Buy?
Actually, the Vitamix Personal Blenders don’t impress me that much. It’s a smaller machine but the price is as high as the full-size blenders.
I would rather buy an additional 32 oz. wet-blade container for my full-size Vitamix 5200 blender to have personal size servings.
The motor of these personal blenders has less power compared to the full-size Vitamix blenders.
But these machines have excellent features…
The blade base is detachable and it can be used with either of the 2 containers which are BPA-free.
If there’s something wrong with the machine the flasher will turn on:
- When the light flashes slow this means that the machine is plugged in, but the container is not properly in place on the motor base.
- When the light flashes fast this means that the the container is placed on the motor base, but the variable speed control is not set on the stop symbol “0”.
At the back of the machine there is an opening in case of an overflow or leakage.
This machine is excellent for those who are always on the go. If you are in a hurry, you can just use the 20 oz. container (a to-go cup) to blend the smoothie and grab it right away when the blending is done.
The 20 oz. container has another layer inside to keep your drink cold or hot. The seal or gasket must be used with the container to avoid leakage.
You can’t make a hot soup with the 20 oz. container because it doesn’t have a ventilated lid for the steam to come out.
The Vitamix Personal blender is a must buy for those who are always on-the-go and want to maintain their healthy lifestyle.
2. C-Series: Classic Blenders – More Vitamix Models
If you are asking yourself which Vitamix is best for hot soups or which Vitamix is best for juicing, then you have plenty of options available from the C-Series.
These classic blenders are known for their powerful motors, advanced features, and enhanced capabilities for preparing a wide selection of recipes.
This blender comes with a robust base, 48-ounce container, and an impressive 10-variable speed control.
You can rotate the 10-variable speed control to adjust the speed of the blade and get the desired texture. With this functionality, you can prepare juices or thick dishes with outstanding perfection.
If you have a large family, you can make a sufficient amount of dishes using this blender, thanks to the large 48-ounce container for preparing medium to large batches of dishes.
The metal drive system is also present in this machine, and this is essential for prolonging the lifespan of the appliance.
Looking to process some veggies or fruits for your favorite dishes? Then, the TurboBlend Two-Speed is a viable option. You can use it for making nut butters, chopped garlic for your soups, and finely chopped onions for your salsas.
There is no limit as to the type of foods or beverages that you can make using this product (as long as these require blending, chopping and pulverizing, that is).
The container is much larger than the Creations II, which is 64 ounces. This allows you to make large batches of soups, dips, and nut butters for the entire family.
Lastly, washing and cleaning this machine can be completed in a few seconds with its self-cleaning feature.
A highly recommended C-series model for those who want a reasonably-priced blender without compromising performance is the 5200 Standard. This blender enables you to prepare several types of dishes efficiently.
It comes with a 64-ounce container for preparing large or medium batches of food, variable speed control to ensure the right texture of mixture, and the ability to pulverize seeds no matter how small the size.
The 5200 model is also perfect for making hot soups with the best consistency, as the blades can work fast enough to attain friction heat that turn your ingredients steaming hot in a few minutes.
While the price may be a bit steep for some budget-conscious buyers, you have the option to buy the reconditioned model at a much cheaper price.
There are a few other models under the C-Series, which are known for their advanced features. These include the following Vitamix models:
- Professional Series 200
- CIA Professional Series
- CIA Creations
- Creations GC and
- Creations Turbo
- Professional Series 500 – with 3 programmed settings
- 6300 – with 3 programmed settings
- 6500 – with 3 programmed settings
The common denominators of all these blenders are the tall, narrow-bottomed container, powerful motor with the impressive capability to pulverize grains and seeds, and the availability of the add-on features with pre-set programs on some models.
3. Vitamix G-Series: Next Generation Blenders – Quieter Models
The G-Series is known for its advanced design, which is an updated style for the standard models.
Vitamix models included in this category are the following:
- Professional Series 750
- Professional Series 300
- Creations Elite
Since this blender category is labelled as the “next generation,” you can expect to find advanced features that are not available in the S-Series or C-Series.
If you are wondering which Vitamix model is quieter, then you can count on that feature from the G-Series. The motor may be less noisy than those in the C-Series category, but the generated power is still excellent.
The container is quite large at 64 ounces, and there is a 2.2 HP motor that is capable of blending any types of whole food smoothly and quickly.
These models also have a pulse feature. All you need to do is place your coarse ingredients in the container, and the machine blends the whole thing with ease.
Coarsely-chopped ingredients such as tomatoes, veggies, onions, and garlic are blended just the way you want it in these machines. So, you can get thick and hearty soups or chunky salsas and queso dips in an instant.
There is also a 10-variable speed control that can puree your ingredients and make them smooth or thick, according to your preference.

Buying Guide in Selecting the Best Vitamix Models for Your Kitchen
As I have mentioned previously, there are several Vitamix models available in the market. Each model comes with its own benefits and limitations, which you must take into account when buying the right product for you.
In fact, you have numerous options to choose from, and it can get quite overwhelming trying to figure out which Vitamix model is the best.
To spare you from the stress of selecting the right blender, let us continue with the following key factors to consider when purchasing this brand of blender.
If you are wondering about which Vitamix models to buy, you first need to think about your preference in terms of the size and portability of the machine.
Do you want a blender that is portable, compact, and perfect for personal use? Then a personal blender under the S-Series should be perfect for you, such as the Vitamix S30, Vitamix 50, or even the Vitamix S55.
You will love how compact and portable these models are, as they come in a smaller size without compromising quality.
It is a breeze making a smoothie on these machines, especially when you are always on the go. However, you have to realize that since the container and motor are smaller, this means less power in comparison to larger models.
Don’t have enough time to stay close to your blender and wait for your smoothie to be ready?
Or perhaps you want to be sure everything goes perfectly instead of messing up the texture and consistency of your homemade soup, smoothie, or nut butter?
Preset programs are made exactly for these special purposes, and you can find Vitamix models that have this key function to make food preparation much simpler.
Just remember, though, that there are instances when you need to tamper with some ingredients to allow them to move past the blades.
Also, it is always better to check the consistency of your soup or smoothie after the program ends, since you may need to restart it if the desired texture is not achieved on the first run.
Nevertheless, a preset program is a great addition to your blender if you are not particular about manual controls.
Advanced Features and Design
Now there are newer updates and improvements made on Vitamix blender models. Thus, you can choose from the G-Series or C-Series models with updated features and design.
In particular, the G-Series features a quieter motor base with longer blades for the wider container. Even if the pitcher is shorter, the capacity is still the same as the C-series models because of the greater width.
With a wider container, this means ingredients circulate easily, scraping out thick mixtures is more convenient, and it is hassle-free to chop more food items at once.
Also, having longer blades cuts down the processing time while ensuring a smoother blend.
Depending on the type of food or beverage you want to prepare, you should think about the width and size of the container.
For nut butters, wider containers work best while smoothies and liquid blends are better prepared in narrower pitchers to prevent splashing. With a wide container it gives you a lot of space to scrape the food around the sides of the container.
Naturally, there are different speed levels required for recipes you prepare. Some blenders only have dual speed—high and low—which is rather limited when you are working with recipes that need certain texture.
Variable speed control is excellent in removing bubble formations, although this should not be so much of an issue when making smoothies or thick sauces. This allows you to adjust the speed of the blender to achieve the right texture of the food that you are preparing.
If your blender lacks this feature, you have the option to use pulse function. Yet this does not quite meet the quality you want in a dish prepared on a variable-speed blender.
So, consider your needs when deciding if variable speed is indeed necessary or just an irrelevant feature.
Vitamix blenders come with a somewhat hefty price tag, and you may be wondering how you can purchase one if you are a little low on budget.
Fortunately, there is an option to buy a reconditioned model, which saves you as much as 40 percent on the regular price (as much as $270 worth of savings).
Basically, reconditioned models work just as good as a brand new machine. These machines passed rigorous inspection and have been certified.
When the blade does not have any signs of wear, it is only sterilized and washed in high temperatures before placing it in a new container.
With reconditioned blenders, the Vitamix warranty remains the same, except for the duration (5-year warranty for the reconditioned ones.) Every single part of the blender is still covered, including shipping for replacements or repairs.
You also have the option to purchase an extension for the warranty that can go for as much as 3 years.
Every reconditioned Vitamix blender also comes with a new container, tamper, 2-part lid, cookbook, and DVD with accompanying booklet to help you get started.
The only differences are the length of warranty, appearance of the box (not as colorful as brand new ones), and the replaced components to maintain the high performance level of the machine.
Vitamix Payment Plan
Here is the Vitamix payment plan that you may want to know about, so that you can learn more about your options when purchasing this powerful blender.
What’s great about Vitamix is that it offers you a few options when buying a blender.
If you are a little low on cash, you can make a minimum of 3 payments or as much as 5 payments on your credit card, so you will be able to purchase this machine without worrying about your finances. Payments for tax and shipping are equally divided among the payments made.
For the three-month payment plan, here’s the computation:
- you need to pay 34 percent of the total amount upon checkout
- settle 33 percent within 30 days after sale

However, if you prefer a longer stretch for the payment, you may opt for the 5-month payment plan. With this option, you are billed on your credit card every 30 days for a total of 5 months.
Here’s the 5-month payment plan computation:
- 20 percent is settled during checkout
- 20 percent is to be paid 30 days after the sale
- 20 percent is to be paid 60 days after the sale
- 20 percent is to be paid 90 days after the sale
